COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM YOU ABOUT OTHERS 

If you decide to invite a third party to create an account on the Site, we will collect your and the third party’s names and email addresses in order to send an email and follow up with the third party. You are solely responsible for obtaining whatever consents from the third party that may be required by law to allow us to access and upload the third party’s name and email address as required above. You or the third party may contact us at info@branchbasics.com to request the removal of this information from our database.

INFORMATION SHARING

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not authorize the collection of our customers’ or visitors’ personally identifiable information by any third parties for the third parties’ use. 

We may hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions, shipping and handling your order(s), or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide these companies the personal information they need to provide these services to us. We will endeavor to require that such companies maintain the confidentiality of your information that we share with them and that such companies are prohibited from using that information for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We may share non-personal information (such as the number of daily visitors to a particular web page or the size of an order placed on a certain date) with third parties, such as advertising partners. This information does not directly personally identify you or any user.

If Branch Basics is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or a portion of its assets, we will endeavor to notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

SMS TEXT MESSAGING

You may elect to receive SMS text messages from Branch Basics. When you sign up to receive text messages, we will send you information about promotional offers and more. These messages may use information automatically collected based on your actions while on the Site and may prompt messaging such as “cart abandon” messages. To the extent you voluntarily opt to have SMS text notifications sent directly to your mobile phone, we receive and store the information you provide, including your telephone number or when you read a text message. The Site may contain links to third party websites. Branch Basics has no control over, does not review, and cannot be responsible for, these third party websites or their content. Please be aware that the terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these third party websites or content, or to any collection of your personal information after you click on links to such outside websites. Any links to third party websites or locations are provided for your convenience and do not signify our endorsement of such third parties or their products, content or websites.

GOOGLE ADWORDS AND FACEBOOK REMARKETING

The Site uses Google AdWords and Facebook remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to previous visitors to the Site. This means that we may advertise to visitors to our Site who haven’t yet completed a task; for example, using the contact form to make an inquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, a site in the Google Display Network, or somewhere on Facebook. Third-party vendors, including Google and Facebook, use cookies and other tracking technologies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Site. These technologies may collect may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor and any referring website.  Any data collected will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as well as the respective privacy policies of Google and/or Facebook (as applicable).

We also use Google and Facebook remarketing services to collect data about visitors to our Site to, among other things, deliver advertising content on sites across the internet in a manner that is specifically directed toward the interests expressed by the visitors while on our Site. CHOICE/OPT-OUT

You may change any of your personal information in your account by editing your profile within your account or by sending an email to info@branchbasics.com. You may request deletion of your personal information by us, and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request, but please note that we may be required to keep such information and not delete it (or to keep such information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives. We may also retain your information for fraud tracking or similar purposes.

COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We may send one or more cookies to your computer or other device in connection with your use and access to the Site.  Cookies are small text files of information stored by the Internet browser on your computer’s hard drive. We may also use other similar technologies such as tracking pixels, tags, or similar tools when you visit the Site.

At this time, the Site and the Branch Basics mobile application do not recognize automated browser signals or other similar mechanisms regarding tracking of online activities. 

WEB BEACONS

The Site contains electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how the Site is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

We use a third party to gather information about how you and others use the Site. For example, we will know how many users access a specific page and which links they clicked on. We use this aggregated information to understand and optimize how the Site is presented and used.  As described above, such third party is only permitted to gather such information in order to provide services to us.

TARGETED ADVERTISING

As you browse the Site, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in. Our display advertising partner, AdRoll (https://www.adroll.com/), then enables us to present you with retargeting advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with the Site. The techniques our partners employ do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, or telephone number. SECURITY

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT COMPLIANCE

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and do not intentionally collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. If a child under age 13 submits personal information to us and we learn that the personal information is the information of a child under age 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible. CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT COMPLIANCE AND SHINE THE LIGHT LAW

Because we value your privacy, we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act.
